Fifty Years of Resistance: The Launch of Trew’s Law

Join us to demand a criminal justice system that takes responsibility for its own actions.

Fifty years ago, Winston Trew and the Oval 4 met at Lambeth Town Hall for a public meeting titled ‘Cause for Concern.’ It was a rallying cry against the wrongful conviction, harassment, and framing of Black men by corrupt police officers.Five decades later, we are returning to the exact same venue to launch a definitive policy report and campaign for Trew’s Law: Establishing an Automatic Review of Convictions Linked to Imprisoned Police Officers. The systemic failures that allowed historical injustices to persist remain unaddressed in law today. Join us to demand a criminal justice system that takes responsibility for its own actions.
