APPEAL is recruiting a lawyer

VACANCY: LAWYER

You became a lawyer because you wanted to challenge injustices and play a role in systemic reform. You know British criminal justice is broken at every level but you never use this as an excuse for failing your clients. You love tech, and how it can make you a better case analyst. You know the law, but you don’t accept it has to stay the way it is. You are ready to leave conventional legal aid practice but will never leave the service of clients who cannot afford to pay for your services.

If this is you, please consider applying to join APPEAL fighting miscarriages of justice and demanding reform - we are recruiting a lawyer.

Salary: £32,000-£36,000 pa depending on experience.

We particularly encourage applications from people with a BAME background, with disabilities, who identify as LGBTQ+, or who were the first generation to attend university, who are currently underrepresented in leadership in the legal profession. We are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to promoting principles of inclusion and diversity in our work. We are open to considering flexible working arrangements, particularly to support parents with childcare or those with caring responsibilities. Please note that APPEAL's offices in The Green House, London E2 9DA are fully mobility accessible.

Closing date: 16 August 2019 at 5pm.

Interviews will be held on 26th and 27th of August 2019 in London.
